WHAT IS AGRI-THON?

AGRI-THON is a challenging platform for both young enthusiasts and professionals to solve the most challenging issues in the agriculture sector. This competition will be a prominent opportunity for the participants to utilize their creative and innovative problem-solving ideas for timely issues in Agritech. It creates a network of a wider range of partners including school students, undergraduates, youth technologists, and industry professionals. The innovative Agritech solutions that emerge through AGRI-THON will be directed to reach the next levels for a successful implementation process, eventually building up a sustainable Agritech eco-system in Sri Lanka.

THE AGRI-THON OBJECTIVES

• Creating awareness for the people related to agriculture in general, including the less reached remote areas.
• Empower the younger generation through real-world experience to explore agriculture along with technology (Agritech) to create an effective transformation in the future of the Sri Lankan agriculture sector.
• To support a sustainable Agritech eco-system in Sri Lanka.
• Initiative to provide hands-on experience for the participants with the resources needed to accelerate and to help power the Agritech workforce of tomorrow.
• Resolving the practical issues of Agritech through innovative solutions.

• Proposal submission start 28^th January 2021
• Proposal submission closed 5^th February 2021
• Initial Pitch -13^th to 19^th February
• Semi final- 28^th February 2021
• Final-28^th March 2021
